With the BPOS causing as much as 200,000 gallons of oil to be released into the Gulf Of Mexico each day, what can be done to fix it? Ignoring the fact that remote-controlled shutoff systems should have been in place, there are three proposed solutions.

Biomass.
It’s a word we may be hearing more in Mississippi because it’s the only renewable energy source to score an “A” in an assessment by a private group mapping the state’s energy future.
Flip a switch in any home in the state and the juice may come from any number of sources — hydro or coal-, natural gas-, oil- or nuclear-fired generating plants — or a blend of two or more.
In the years to come, the grid of commercial suppliers may have more sources — and some of us will supply all or part of the energy we consume.

As a part of the Pascagoula River Nature Festival, the Pascagoula River Audubon Center and Real Food Gulf Coast are joining forces to present a truly inspiring “buffet” of local and regional flora, fauna and seafood at the Pascagoula River Audubon Center. (5:00 – 7:00 p.m.) This meal includes a number of appetizers, main dishes, desserts and drinks, all made from native plants, animals and especially seafood. The event includes cooking demonstrations.
